So it seems that stage crasher Lil’ Mama shamefully ignored her moment of clarity at the MTV Video Music Awards…
Ah, don’t you just love how the plot thickens?!. In the video below you will see Bey trying to stop Lil Mama before she heads on stage for her buffoonery moment of 2009. Lil’ Mama gives Bey the “What?!!!” look and keeps stepping right on the stage.

Alicia Keys appeared on the “Today” show earlier and of course co-hosts, Kathy Lee Gifford & Hooda, ask Alicia Keys her thoughts on Lil’ Mama’s overwhelmed reaction and performance crashing. At first A. Keys was trying to focus on the phenomenal performance her and Jay-Z had, and then finally she said:
“We can appreciate her being overwhelmed and inspired but we would’ve preferred she did it from her seat.”

I guess Lil’ Mama has seen all the parodies and decided she needed to apologize on camera to Jay-Z for her overzealous behavior Sunday night….here’s her direct message to Jay:
Q. Is there anything you want to say to Jay in particular?
Lil Mama: Well, to Jay in particular…As a Brooklyn Native whom I am also. In that moment it was nothing but respect and honor. It was a joyous moment, whenever we share happiness or celebration…I mean that’s how a reaction takes place usually and its graceful–it’s never to disrespect. You know. And I meant no harm. I was enjoying myself, and I was enjoying his performance. And I got love for you, I love you.

Okay, okay Barack Obama is the President of the United States but also a human being! So now there is an audio release of our Prez calling Kanye a “Jackass” woopty doo!
On Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and in casual conversations over the past few days I know that in some capacity you’ve heard/ read/ thought that Kanye West’s actions were utterly frustrating, random, or dumb as hell. I’m sure someone has called the situation like they’ve seen it. We as a country have so much “stuff” going on, and this conversation is getting too much play….but who am I not to play it up like everyone else, eh?
Oh well….if you haven’t heard it here it goes.

I Cannot Watch: Taylor Swift on The View

Today on TV:
Taylor Swift, 19, is going to make her first appearance on “The View.” and is scheduled to perform two songs.
Swift comes fresh from her high-profile appearance Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards. She was giving her acceptance speech after winning best female video of the year when Kanye West jumped on stage and said Beyonce should have won instead.
Catch “The View” at 11 a.m. EDT. on ABC.

Kanye Gets Emotional in Interview with Jay Leno *Video*

Jay Leno’s first show surely was upgraded a notch when he snagged a opportunity to interview Kanye West about his actions at the last night’s VMAs. the interview ended up being surprisingly emotional once Jay Leno asked Kanye what his mother would have said about what he did last night. Kanye took a few moments to compose himself and looked as though he had fight back tears. The emotion Kanye evoked were obviously real and heartfelt. Losing a parent must be extremely difficult, here’s a part of Kanye’s explanation:
“So many celebrities, they never take the time off,” Kanye said. “I’ve never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour. I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt. My dream of what awards shows are supposed to be, ’cause, and I don’t try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That’s period. But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve.”
All is forgiven in my book. Kanye says he wants to apologize to Taylor Swift in person I hope that he takes the time he needs.
P.S. I sincerely think Chris Brown’s publicist needs to take a note from Kanye’s PR person. When ish hits the fan as it sometimes will address it early to squash some of the backlash.

Beyond Kanye West’s foolery, Lil’ Mama’s randomness, and Pink’s Cirque du Soleil-esque performance..there was a separate show happening starring Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga is know for her off the wall outfits, performances and just general lifestyle but last night was over the top, actually Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.

Beyonce won the big award of the night Video of the Yearfor Single Ladies and decided to share the moment with Taylor Swift, who’s acceptance speech was cut short due to an outburst by Kanye West. Once Beyonce got on stage to receive her award she said: “I remember being 17-years-old, up for my first MTV Award with Destiny’s Child and it was one of the most exciting moments in my life. So I’d like Taylor to come out and have her moment.”
