Chris Brown: The Interview with MTV NEWS Video + His Response to Rihanna’s 20/20 Interview

Each year over one million young women are victims of domestic violence. Chris Brown sat down with Sway and MTV News on Monday in an interview to discuss how Chris has changed since the February incident with Rihanna. Another attempt from CB’s camp to do damage control to counter act Rihanna’s side of the story which aired tonight on 20/20.

Chris refused to give his account of the incident with Rihanna and released this statement in response to the previews of her 20/20 interview:

I do appreciate her support and wish her the best. I am extremely sorry for what I did and I accept accountability for my actions. At this point I am taking the proper steps to learn about me and grow from my mistakes. I only hope that others in similar situations can learn from our experience as well. Abuse of any kind is always wrong. The rest I leave it to God.

Mr. Wilson may win an award but it won’t have anything to do with maturity, tact, or respect. During President Obama’s speech tonight addressing Congress Joe Wilson, a Republican from South Carolina, went elementary on the president. President Obama was defending certain positions in his health care plan and when he addressed the issue of health care for illegal immigrants things got interesting. After the President said that there was no legislation slated to provide health care to illegal immigrants a resounding heckler said “You Lie.”

Guess who that heckler was? No, not a 4th grade student at a local high school defending the fact that he’s not a bed-wetter…No, it was a grown man, a leader, a Congressman, Joe Wilson.

For the past few days, I’ve been wondering when someone over at BlahET was going to acknowledge the catastrophic events that took place at the awards Sunday night.
5 days and many angry posts later, BlahET finally released a statement on BET.com about the foolery that was Drake, Lil’ Wayne and Young Money performance of “Every Girl”, here it goes:
BET Networks deeply regrets the performance by Young Money at the BET AWARDS ’09 (featuring Lil Wayne, Drake, Gudda Gudda and Mack Maine). Elements of the performance were unplanned and should not have happened.
We value and appreciate the feedback from our viewers and have edited Young Money’s performance for all BET AWARDS ’09 encore presentations.
BLAH! This is a half a** apology, they could have kept this nonsense. What about apologizing Ving Rhames’ ’skit’, what about apologizing for calling it a Michael Jackson tribute, what about apologizing for the hours of my life I WILL NEVER GET BACK as I sat there watching this foolishness unfold bit by bit?
