‘Hope For Haiti Now’ Telethon Airs Tonight

“Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” telethon, airs commercial-free tonight at 8 p.m. ET. across multiple television networks like MTV, VH1, ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, CMT, PBS, TNT, Showtime, Comedy Central, Bravo, E! Entertainment Network, National Geographic Channel, Oxygen, G4, Centric, Current TV, Fuse, MLB Network, Epix, Palladia, SoapNet, Style, Discovery Health and Planet Green. The telethon will be a two-hour special featuring some today’s top music artists. Proceeds raised during tonight’s telethon will benefit Oxfam, Partners in Health, the Red Cross and Yele Haiti.
The event will be hosted by George Clooney, Wyclef Jean, and Anderson Cooper the performances will take place in New York, London, and Los Angeles. The various artists will take part in different locations to put together what hopes to be an extremely lucrative fundraising event for Haiti earthquake relief.
In New York: Wyclef Jean, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira and Sting
In Los Angeles: hosts Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift and a group set from Keith Urban, Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow;
In London: Coldplay, Bono, The Edge, Beyonce, Jay-Z and Rihanna in London.
Tonight’s performances will be available for purchase via iTunes. You can pre-order both the ‘Hope for Haiti Now’ full performance album for $7.99 and the two-hour video telecast for $1.99. The proceeds from these sales will also be donated to Haiti relief efforts.

As a kid, I loved Big Bird, he was the sweetest 8′2″ bird you could ever know via television. This upcoming week marks his 40th birthday of all the loveable Sesame Street characters. Sesame first aired November 10, 1969, on public television stations nationwide and has been on educating and entertaining children ever since. Though the actual anniversary is still six days away google decided to celebrate early. Nicccceeeee.
First lady Michelle Obama will be making a guest appearance on Sesame Street for the shows 40th year anniversary on Nov. 10.

Tonight Big Bird will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live (Airs on ABC at 12 am).
Next Monday: Elmo and Rosita will appear on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (Airs on NBC, 12:35am).

First lady Michelle Obama will be making a guest appearance on the Nov. 10 season premiere of Sesame Street. This show marks the 40th year anniversary of the show on PBS. Her appearance on on the show is aimed at bringing awareness to the importance of healthy eating habits and getting kids to eat their veggies.
