Mar 7th
D’Angelo aka Mr. How Does It Feel, just isn’t getting the groupie love he used to get anymore, according to the Post his attempt to get some oral satisfaction on the streets of NY landed him in jail:
Grammy Award-winning R&B singer D’Angelo was arrested early yesterday after allegedly offering an undercover policewoman $40 for oral sex while cruising alone through the West Village — with $12,000 stashed in his SUV.
D’Angelo, 36, whose real name is Michael Archer, was in his top-of-the-line Range Rover at Greenwich and Horatio streets at about 2:30 a.m. when he spotted a woman he took to be a prostitute, sources said.
He was arrested and charged with solicitation after asking the woman for sex, the sources said. His manager declined to comment.

Last night, 9-year-old Anthony Maldonado was stabbed to death in Harlem. The boy was visiting family and was stabbed in the chest and later died. The incident happened at 75 La Salle Street, where Anthony’s relatives lived.

“Uncle, uncle, I’ve been stabbed,” he said.
Paramedics rushed the boy to St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital but he couldn’t be saved. His grief-stricken mother identified his body there about 8 a.m.
The NYPD said no arrests have been made, but police sources said a man in his 20s was being questioned at the 26th Precinct stationhouse.
“This person is probably not going to be going home tonight,” the source said.
Cops were searching elevator shafts and Dumpsters in the housing project last night, apparently looking for the murder weapon.
Anthony had been visiting his grandfather for the holidays.
“He was a nice boy,” the uncle said.

Sitting Courtside: Jay-Z, A-Rod & CC Sabathia
Nov 7th
After a long day at the Yankee parade, Jay-Z, Alex Rodriguez and CC Sabathia took a few moments to cool out at the Knicks vs. Cavaliers game at Madison Square Garden last night.
Not sure if any Knicks or Cavaliers gave Jay High-5’s but I’m starting to formulate a conspiracy theory that Jay will live out every line of “Empire State of Mind.”

Knicks and Nets give me high-5’s

Beanie Sigel To Jay-Z “I Ain’t Your Average Cat”
Oct 30th
This morning Beanie Sigel premiered his new diss track airing out his dirty laundry and clearing his chest against Jay-Z. The 7+ minute song, “Average Cat” goes in and talks about the BP3, Memphis Bleek, street cred, jail time among other things. I’m not sure how to feel about the record, it seems that Sigel held back a lot.
While one part of the song talks about an incident atthe 9/11 concert:
“The rapper Shawn called the police on me/cause I was front row at the Blueprint 3. S**t, I just wanted to see him MC, and reminisce on when we was the R.O.C./But he called all the C.O.Ps, not only that, he brought out the F.E.Ds/So that’s telling me ‘F You Sieg,’/so F you too and F Bleek three.”
By all means the record ends to be a slap in the Jay-Z’s face, but by the end of the cut Beanie tries to rub the sore spot saying:
“And don’t get it f***ed up: this ain’t the green light for everybody to start making diss Jay-Z record. I still got love for the n***a. This just me taking my brother out in the yard for 5 minutes.”
My thoughts: Go Hard or Go Home!
I think above the beef, the Wall Street Journal attempted to cover the story! Talk about what the WSJ deems newsworthy these days…

John Mayer Apologizes For Using the ‘N word’ in an Interview

John Mayer just apologized via Twitter for some of the comments he made during a recent Playboy interview, specifically his use of the ‘N word.’ He writes:
Okay…but what about everything ELSE he said??? But the N-word was just one part of the ignoramus comments made to Playboy. What about likening his penis to a anti-Semite who played a huge role in the KKK, and exploiting his sexual conquests? #imjustsaying.
