After enduring Rihanna’s rendition of Redemption Song on Oprah last week, Melanie Fiona also presented the masses with her vocally superior take of the classic Bob Marley track via youtube. The clip was recorded by Melanie for and prompted viewers to do whatever they could to help by logging on to www.hopeforhaitinow.org. Brava!

Last night Alicia Keys & Friends brought an array of talented performers to the Apollo in Harlem. The line-up was packed with SANGERS not singers, but people that leave you exclaiming he/she “sang that song!” Don’t judge me, you all know what I’m talking about! Alicia Keys started out with some rising stars Hope, Jermaine Paul and ELLE VARNER (Sorry for the biased caps but if you don’t know Elle yet get familiar! Her voice is ah-mazing with the grace!). Then soul music maven Marsha Ambrosius (of Floetry), Raheem DeVaughn, and Melanie Fiona. not to mention Alicia herself bringing down the house ending the night belting out some of her biggest hits.
