5 months and a plea deal later: Chris Brown's video apology

Chris Brown finally takes a few minutes to apologize for his actions, shamefully beating his then girlfriend Rihanna, back in February. Ummm, according to my calendar this apology is about 5 months and a plea deal too late.

Chris Breezy starts the video out saying his lawyer advised that he not speak publicly regarding the incident with Rihanna, however he now feels that it is time that people hear some things directly from him.

“Although I will do some interviews and answer some questions in the future, I felt it was time you heard directly from me that I am sorry.”

“I have told Rihanna countless times, and I’m telling you today, that I am truly, truly sorry that I wasn’t able to handle the situation differently and better.”

“As many of you know, I grew up in a home where there was domestic violence, and I saw first-hand what uncontrolled rage could do. I have sought and I am continuing to seek help to ensure that what occurred in February can never happen again.”

See the entire video below:

From chrisbrownworld.com

Do you believe this obviously scripted apology is sincere? Would you forgive Chris? And a premiere on BlahET’s 106&Park.

Personally, I cannot.

Half-ass excuses need not apply. Who wrote this ish?

Chris notes to self:

Fire your lawyer, your manager, and your publicist.

Immediately.

Then,

fire yourself.

Train Stories: Drunken Seat.

On the train this morning, a guy stumbles in gripping his cane. He was an older gentleman, and looked like he may have been housing challenged, but still in need of the seat nonetheless.  I immediately tried to wave at him to get his attention to offer up my seat to him. I caught the eye of a woman standing next to him and asked her to tap him for me. She did.

Once the guy turns towards me I ask him if he would like my seat. He agrees.

He thanks me.

I say “No problem.”

At the next stop, he takes a small plastic bag out of his jacket.

Unscrews the top and takes a swig of Henny.

It’s 8:24am.

I cannot.

Still Can't Believe It: Memories from the corner of my mind

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times…

The saga and public emotional outcry continues today with radio stations playing Michael Jackson’s hits all day, television shows dedicating segments to chronicle the life & achievements of a legend, and newspapers publishing spreads with pictures, record sale stats and memorable moments in the life of MJ. This morning I have had such wonderful memories and even teared up a bit thinking back to so many times I watched Smooth Criminal and attempted that forward move and fell! The magic was in the shoes is a lesson I just learned today but nonetheless reveled in amazement because no one could do what he did!

I thought about the Michael Jackson parodies on In Living Color and about how no matter how much fortune and fame he amassed in the end, I think he way have died with a heavy heart (no pun intended). The saying is true money cannot by happiness, and though I reminisce on the times watching his dance moves made me happy I am saddened to think that with all the smiles he helped bring to us over the years was he truly happy?

Death is always such a cold reminder that we are mortal and are not promised the rest of today or tomorrow. We have to make the most of the days we have and appreciate the happiness in our hearts and make our lives beautiful. It is my desire that when my time comes I can so passionately be remembered by millions of people bringing more smiles than tears to the faces of those I leave behind, and know that I have left a solid footprint in this world by making it a better place.

I can't believe it: A note on the life of Michael Jackson

Michael has had a tremendous impact on the world. Who would’ve known that a little boy from Gary, Indiana would grow up to become one of the most iconic people in the history of music.  I have fond memories of watching Michael Jackson music videos and movies thinking to myself that he was utterly amazing in his creative ability, talents, and star power. It is because he lived that our current R&B hit makers like Ne-Yo, Usher, Chris Brown, among legions of other artists in other genres are able to have found an avenue for themselves in the industry. This is not much but this is a solemn note of thanks to Michael Jackson, a man who has undoubtedly rocked my world and has shown me who’s bad!

Sam Dalyism: Who do you trust?

After having a rather interesting conversation with my father, started talking about trust and then the following conversation ensued:

Dad: “Who do you trust?”

J: “No one.”

Dad: “And you don’t even…”

J: “Trust myself.”

Dad: “And you remember why, it’s because sometimes you go to fart, and…”

J: “You shit your pants”

Dad: “Exactly. You make me so proud.”

Today I made my father’s day.

Happy Early Father’s Day.

Pimp Down, Pimp Down

BREAKING NEWS::
This morning in NYC, after a”business dispute” outside of the Westin Hotel on 43rd Street at 5:30am today one pimp fatally shot another pimp.

I wonder if he yelled “PIMP DOWN, PIMP DOWN!”

According to the NYDaily News,

“That’s what people on the street are telling us – that what they did for a living, and the dispute, had something to do with that business,” Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.

One of the men pulled out a handgun and shot the other in the chest. The mortally wounded man collapsed near the corner of Eighth Ave.

The shooting, which happened just steps from several Broadway theaters and upscale restaurants, stunned many visitors.

“It’s kind of scary for me,” said Heather Roeicheau, 23, a student fromPennsylvania. “Where I live, you don’t even lock your doors at night.”

“I’m surprised to hear about it, especially in a busy area with lots of tourists,” saidOrla Kyne, 24, from County ClareIreland.

The shot pimp died at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital shortly after the shooting. His name was not immediately released but Kelly said he had 27 prior arrests.

The gunman, who witnesses said was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, ran from the scene, police said.

The Times Square area, which now features a pedestrian mall on Broadway, became a tourist magnet after crime plummeted. Many tourists said they hoped the pimp shooting isn’t a sign the area is deteriorating.

What is the world coming to when pimps can’t talk about there problems and resolve them in reasonable ways like pimp slapping and such? This would not otherwise find this news story funny, but I instantly thought of Katt Williams comedy sketch when he talks about getting shot. Haven’t seen it? Here it is…scroll to about 1:30.

Please learn your alphabet before you learn to grind

Sometimes, just sometimes, I get so irate over foolish behaviors such as the one seen in the video below. WHY? WHY? WHY do people have children engaging in such fuckery. Sorry this only demands that I be vulgar for a moment to express my utter disdain and frustration I felt when I was forwarded this video to me.

Here’s another, a little girl dancing while adults take her pic with camera phones and others throw money…

I can’t.

I cannot understand why people thinks children grinding is cute, this is simply ridic.

WHAT do you think?
