I had no idea “Gossip Girl” star, Leighton Meester was signed to Universal Republic until I caught a glimpse of her latest video “Somebody to Love” feat. Robin Thicke. ‘Somebody is Love’ is said to be the first single off her forthcoming debut album. (Album Name & Release Date TBD). Until then check out the video:

Lady Gaga will be performing her new single “Bad Romance” on Gossip Girl.
The episode will air Nov. 16th. Blair played by Leighton Meester, is a NYU freshman on the show, and in the upcoming episode works hard to get into a Lady Gaga private performance.
The irony is Lady Gaga also attended NYU although she eventually dropped out. Gaga told Elle magazine, “I loved NYU, but I thought I could teach myself art better than the school could. I really felt New York was my teacher, and that I needed to bite the bullet and go it alone,”
Gossip Girl airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on the CW.

The fashions at last night Emmy’s were BLAH at best. No real razzle, no real dazzle…just blahness. I was so excited to watch the red carpet and hear Nene give her very opinionated thoughts on the outfits sashaying along the crimson carpet, but was met by rather (sigh) boring night. Don’t you just loathe the uneventfulness of award shows these days? *eye brow lift*
I did live for the shade Nene occassionally threw at celebs like Leighton Meester from CW’s Gossip Girl.
Jay: “I like this Grecian dress. What do you think?”
NeNe: “I think the shoulder pads are huge.”
Jay: “Those are not shoulder pads. Those are stylish knots.”
NeNe: “Well, those knots, you can climb a mountain with those knots.
