Lady Gaga appeared on Ellen this morning,to talk about fashion, music and fitting in.
Queen of all things uniquely odd, Lady Gaga told Ellen “I didn’t fit in in high school and I felt like a freak. So I like to create this atmosphere for my fans where they feel like they have a freak in me to hang out with and they don’t feel alone…This is really who I am, and it took a long time to be okay with that,” she says. “Maybe in high school you, Ellen, you feel discriminated against. Like you don’t fit in and you want to be like everyone else, but not really, and in the inside you want to be like Boy George – well, I did anyway. So I want my fans to know that it’s okay. Sometimes in life you don’t always feel like a winner, but that doesn’t mean you’re not a winner, you want to be like yourself. I want my fans to know it’s okay.”

Lady Gaga will be performing her new single “Bad Romance” on Gossip Girl.
The episode will air Nov. 16th. Blair played by Leighton Meester, is a NYU freshman on the show, and in the upcoming episode works hard to get into a Lady Gaga private performance.
The irony is Lady Gaga also attended NYU although she eventually dropped out. Gaga told Elle magazine, “I loved NYU, but I thought I could teach myself art better than the school could. I really felt New York was my teacher, and that I needed to bite the bullet and go it alone,”
Gossip Girl airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on the CW.
