Fashion Maven: Alexander McQueen Commits Suicide

According to Daily Mail, the famed designer Alexander McQueen committed suicide, he was 40 years old.
British fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead after taking his own life.
The 40-year-old committed suicide just three years after his close friend, Isabella Blow – who plucked him from obscurity and helped him become a star – killed herself.
A source at McQueen’s office this afternoon confirmed his death, saying: ‘It is a tragic loss. We are not making a comment at this time out of respect for the McQueen family.’
His death comes just days before the start of London Fashion Week and weeks before he was due to unveil his new collection at Paris Fashion Week on March 9.

Lady Gaga appeared on Ellen this morning,to talk about fashion, music and fitting in.
Queen of all things uniquely odd, Lady Gaga told Ellen “I didn’t fit in in high school and I felt like a freak. So I like to create this atmosphere for my fans where they feel like they have a freak in me to hang out with and they don’t feel alone…This is really who I am, and it took a long time to be okay with that,” she says. “Maybe in high school you, Ellen, you feel discriminated against. Like you don’t fit in and you want to be like everyone else, but not really, and in the inside you want to be like Boy George – well, I did anyway. So I want my fans to know that it’s okay. Sometimes in life you don’t always feel like a winner, but that doesn’t mean you’re not a winner, you want to be like yourself. I want my fans to know it’s okay.”

After a long day of signing autographs at Best Buy, Lady Gaga stopped by The Jay Leno Show to promote her newly released album The Fame Monster. I absolutely adore Gaga for her pure artistry. Her interview was über cute, especially when Jay Leno asked “So what is the worse rumor about you?” and Gaga responds:
“That I’m from Yonkers…I love the Bronx but I’m just not from Yonkers. There’s all sorts of rumors about me but that’s my least favorite. And you know how on Wikipedia you can change what it says, I seem to be unable that it says from Yonkers…”

Lady Gaga announced the track listing for the eagerly-awaited re-release of her massively successful debut album, The Fame, entitled The Fame Monster. Included in the eight new songs is a duet with superstar Beyonce, the Rodney Jerkins-produced “Telephone.” The album also includes production work from RedOne, Teddy Riley, Space Cowboy, Fernando Garibay, and Ron Fair.
The eight new tracks are: — “Bad Romance” — “Alejandro” — “Monster” — “Speechless” — “Dance in the Dark” — “Telephone” (duet with Beyonce) — “So Happy I Could Die” — “Teeth”
Lady Gaga also announced today that she will release a collector’s edition art book of The Fame Monster. This version of the album will be released on December 15, 2009 and is the ultimate peek into the Haus of Gaga, spanning music, fashion, art, fans and juice. Each collector’s edition art book will be individually numbered and will include:

Lady Gaga will be performing her new single “Bad Romance” on Gossip Girl.
The episode will air Nov. 16th. Blair played by Leighton Meester, is a NYU freshman on the show, and in the upcoming episode works hard to get into a Lady Gaga private performance.
The irony is Lady Gaga also attended NYU although she eventually dropped out. Gaga told Elle magazine, “I loved NYU, but I thought I could teach myself art better than the school could. I really felt New York was my teacher, and that I needed to bite the bullet and go it alone,”
Gossip Girl airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on the CW.
