Apple Revolutionizes the eReader: Introducing the iPad (Photos & Specs)

Earlier today, Steve Jobs held a live event to introduce the latest Apple creation, the iPad.
The iPad has sleek yet bulky attributes, at 1.5 lbs and 9.5 inches its thin but don’t expect to put it in your pocket like other Apple on-the-go predecessors (iPhone, iTouch, iPod). iPad users will be able download all the apps iTouch/iPhone users have come to know and love, plus the biggest complementary part of today’s unveiling was iBooks, an app like iTunes that will give users access to books, magazines and newspapers. The iPad also plays movie and music, and is expected to have a 10 hour battery life. iPad has WiFi connectivity comes with pay as you go, month-by-month, available for $14.99 (for up to 250MB–pointless) and $29.99 (for unlimited usage–better bang for your wireless buck). No contract for all you that are commitment-phobes.
The Price:iPad is set to retail for $499 for the 16GB version, 32GB version will be $599, 64 GB version will be $699, and with 3G/64GB iPad from AT&T it will cost $829. This is more than an e-reader but is this what the techies/ebook readers want?
Availability: The 16GB/32GB/64GB versions will ship within 60 days, and the 3G version within 90 days.

Rihanna takes a bow, as she accepted Glamour’s Woman of the Year award yesterday at New York City’s iconic Carnegie Hall. Glamour honored the pop star with The Back On Top Superstar” award. Rihanna shined in an ivory colored Stephane Rolland gown. Check out the footage of her acceptance speech:

I was recently having a conversation about the Kardashian sisters and trying to get to the bottom of why I love/hate/can’t get enough of those big booty heffas when BAM!!!! I find out that Tyra Banks shares in my Kardashian obsession. Friday October 30th, Miss Banks will undergo not 1, not 2…but 3 Halloween HalloQueen costume changes on her show. The one getting the most attention in the one of her as none other than my favorite Dashi– Kim K.

I hear she was PAID $50,000 for her appearance at the venue. Just show up and party–here’s your money honey. Loves it.
Tao figured it would good promo since the pics from the party would be “everywhere” and here they are & pay special attention to the sponsored cake….#wheretheydothatat?

Beyonce… Lady Gaga… Feathers, Bird’s Nests, and Metal, Oh My!!!
This should be very, very interesting. As fate would have it the girlies are getting together and are currently shooting on set for Bey’s song “Video Phone.”
According to insider Video Phone will be shot on “closed set [with] no cameras or video phones” allowed. Apparently, the video version of the song — which is from Beyoncé’s 2008 I Am … Sasha Fierce album — features B and Gaga trading up-tempo verses, and sees Gaga adding an extra verse to the tune. The clip also features “lots of choreography” and “more dancers than the two girls [Beyoncé is] always with.”
The theatrics in this video will be insane.

In 1984, Def Jam Records was born. Def Jam was the brain child of New York University student Rick Rubin and he gave birth to what would be come one of the biggest record labels ever in his dorm room. It’s been 25 years and VH1 is honoring & celebrating the legacy that is Def Jam Records.
The show was taped last nigth at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The show which is set to include performances from Mary J. Blige, Method Man, DMX, Eminem, Ja Rule, Fabolous, Onyx, Redman, Kid Rock, Warren G, Trey Songz, and more.

I CAN'T: Kanye West Goes Off at the VMAs, Again.

In case you didn’t catch the VMAs. The first award of the night was for Best Female Video. The nominees were Taylor Swift “You Belong to Me”, Katy Perry “Hot n Cold”, Beyonce “Single Ladies”Kelly Clarkson “My Life Would Suck Without You”, Lady Gaga “Poker Face”, and Pink “So What”. The biggest shock was Taylor Swift’s when over Beyonce and Lady Gaga who were top contenders for the award. Neverless as Taylor was on stage making her acceptance speech, Kanye ran onto the stage, grabbed Taylor’s mic and said:
“Taylor, I’m really happy for you. I’ll let you finish, But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time … one of the best videos of all time!”
I’m still grappling with the train wreck that was Kanye West’s PSA at the VMAs I am trying to understand WHY? or HOW? Mr. West thought that rushing to the stage to interrupt Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech was okay or appropriate in any way! I love Kanye as an artist and feels he is talented but when he comes off the stage there is some problematic behavior that has become utterly frustrating.
He may later recant his statement, or even apologize but until then it seems he’ll blame it on the alcohol considering he was drinking Hennessy straight out of the bottle on the red carpet with his live snake woman/ girlfriend, Amber Rose.

Rihanna's Fashion's Night Out Appearance
Ugh! She’s so major! Rihanna is definitely making a fashion splash daily. I can’t help but to love her soooo much its like we are besties…but not. Either way, love her or just moderately like her the girl dares to be over the top and I love it! The glasses will prick yo’ finger if you get too close but that’s why they are called Barracuda shades by no other than A-morir and they retail for a cool $350. Rock if you can, but leave the All Black Everything to RiRi is you can’t.
