Andre Leon Talley to bring Top Model from the slums?

Vogue editor at large, Andre Leon Talley, is set to be guest judge on cycle 14 of ANTM. Maybe his arrival will bode good news for Tyra. The ratings for ANTM have dipped to 3.2 million from its original 6.3 million when the show premiered in 2003.
All I can say is I love Andre. I know I’m watching. Are you?
Andre sat down with an interview with the “Wall Street Journal” and talked about why he chose to join the panel and most importantly, why many of the ANTM winners are not supermodels.
Q: Why do you think none of the previous winners are household names?
A: I think it’s so different today. It’s difficult to create a household name. Look at “American Idol,” which I don’t look at. Those winners haven’t become household names except for Jennifer Hudson and she was a reject. You can’t aim to be a household name. You just have to be successful. I just read that one person from “Idol” made $650,000 last year. That’s great. If we can give them [the models] the empowerment and advice to get steady work and achieve success, then I think that’s a big plus.
Q: “Top Model” begins its fourteenth season next month, why did you decide to join the show now?
A: Tyra asked me. It’s as simple as that. We had lunch. She didn’t ask me at lunch. She called me after and we had a series of conversations. It went from there. She asked me the first season after lunch. But I turned it down because I wasn’t sure back then. It was eight years ago. I know Tyra is a successful entrepreneur and businesswoman, so this time I said ‘let’s try it.’

Today, Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates at 11:00 a.m. EST at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future, and he plans to apologize for his behavior.
While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him. He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that’s what he’s going to discuss.
His remarks will be open to a press pool for live coverage. It is NOT a news conference.

For The (Shared) Love of Ray J 2 Reunion Show

I really can’t deal with all the For The Love of… shows on Vh1 but I did sneak a peek at For The Love Of Ray J 2 Reunion show last night. Umm, Ray J got a little beside himself when he came out to confront Season 1 winner Cocktail. The jist is Cocktail came out to tell this season’s winner, Mz. Berry, that Ray was not a “one woman man,” he “smashes the homies,” and he is not “looking for love.” Ray J didn’t appreciate Cocktail’s interruption especially since she is so “Season 1.” Check out the footage:

Beyonce appeared in a commercial for Vizio during the Super Bowl Sunday. The footage of the making of the Vizio would have you believe that Beyonce was going to play a bigger role but she was just the attention grabbing element. The minute long commercial feature the R&B star for 14 seconds and the rest of the cameos were of “the best of the internet.”
I loved the little piece David After The Dentist, where little Dave asks “is this real life?” and the clip of “Chocolate Rain.” In case you never saw the youtube clips or the video of the making of the Vizio commercial peep those below.
