Marvin Sapp He Saw The Best in Me

Last night Marvin Sapp performed his latest single “He Saw the Best in Me,” on BET’s the Celebration of Gospel 2010. While there were tons of great performances at The Celebration of Gospel, including Fantasia and her mother Diane Barrino Barber; Tarsha & Anthony Hamilton; and Leidisi & Kelly Price; but it was Marvin Sapp’s song that brought down the house. The song title alone made me wanna cry because if you ever heard Marvin Sapp sing his voice pulls at your very core and if you don’t cry you will surely shake your head (agreeably).

He Saw the Best in Me is the first single from his upcoming “Here I Am” album, which will be released March 16.

(Marvin Sapp performance starts at 8:00 mark)

For those unfamiliar with Marvin Sapp, I definitely sugges listening to his song, “Never Would Have Made It,” which is from his album “Thirsty”. It was a crossover hit that made it to  #14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs, #82 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Songs chart.
