VIDEO: Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting Performances 2009
Tonight thousands flocked to Rockefeller Center to watch the tree lighting ceremony of the world famous Rockefeller Christmas tree. The event aired on NBC on Wed. night (12/2) and features performances by Aretha Franklin, Shakira, Michael Buble, Alicia Keys, The Roots and more.
This officially marks the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year in midtown NYC and the 76-ft. tree will help welcome many tourists and New Yorkers alike. The Rockefeller Tree will be lit daily until January 7th, 2010 from 5:30 a.m. till 11:30 p.m., 24 hours on Christmas Day, and 5:30 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
