Cover Candid: Marge Simpson Does Playboy
On October 16, yours, mine, and our favorite blue bouffant haired Springfield housewife will be coming to newsstands.
Marge Simpson graces the cover of Playboy Magazine for the November issue and is featured in a three-page pictorial spread in the issue, all in celebration of The Simpsons‘ 20th anniversary.
The choice is also a ploy to get younger readers (80s babies) to pick up the magazine–let’s see if it works.(I wonder what Lisa has to say about all of this!)
Is it me or does this cover look familiar?
Looks like they decided to take a page out of the Playboy history books. The above image is of Darine Stern, the first black woman to grace the cover of Playboy, in October 1971. The homage is also befitting since it’s coming out this month and Darine passed away from breast cancer at the age of 46.

According to TMZ, actress Brittany Murphy died today of cardiac arrest, she was 32-years-old.
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.
